Redskins Re-sign OL Mike Pucillo

The Washington Redskins have re-signed offensive lineman Mike Pucillo. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Pucillo was a key reserve for the Redskins in 2006 and can play several positions on the offensive line.

Pucillo played in 11 games in a reserve role for the Redskins in 2006. Pucillo began his NFL career as a seventh round (215th overall) selection in the 2002 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills out of Auburn.

He was inactive for all 16 games during the 2002 season, played in 13 games in 2003 with 12 starts and played in two games in 2004 for Buffalo. He played one season (2005) with the Cleveland Browns, appearing in 10 games with six starts.

For Pucillo's career, he has played in 36 games with 18 starts.

The Washington Redskins also announced Feb. 28 that they have released veteran tight end Christian Fauria.
