Redskins Salute To Host Multiple #SaluteToService Events During The Month Of November

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – Redskins Salute, the official military appreciation club of the Washington Redskins, will host multiple events throughout the D.C. Metro area beginning Saturday, Nov. 2. The weekly events will lead up to the team's Nov. 17 Salute to Service game presented by USAA, Official Salute to Service Partner of the Redskins. Upcoming events include:

Military Combine Presented by Lockheed Martin (Saturday, Nov. 2)

Location: Redskins Park (21300 Redskin Park Drive, Ashburn, Va. 20147)

Event Time: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Lockheed Martin will be teaming up with the Washington Redskins to invite 100 service members and veterans out to Redskins Park for an afternoon where they will go through a day in the life of an NFL prospect. Super Bowl Champions Clarence Vaughn and Ravin Caldwell will coach four groups of service members through a series of drills testing their abilities against NFL greats.

Pack4Troops Presented by Military Officers Association of America (Sunday, Nov. 3)

Location: FedExField (1600 FedEx Way, Landover, Md. 20785)

Event Tim: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) will be teaming up with the Washington Redskins in packing 1,000 care packages at FedExField to be distributed to deploying service members over the holidays by the USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore. Super Bowl Champions Clarence Vaughn and Ravin Caldwell will join service members and volunteers representing MOAA to support.

Pros vs. GI Joes Presented by EA Sports Madden NFL 20 (Tuesday, Nov. 5)

Location: Marine Barracks (8th and I Streets SE, Washington, D.C. 20003)

Event Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Military members at Marine Barracks Washington (8th & I) are invited to join Redskins Salute for the annual Pros vs. GI Joes gaming tournament, presented by Madden NFL 20. Redskins alumni will play against the military members throughout the day filled with prizes, giveaways and a BBQ lunch.

Redskins Salute Chalk Talk at RecruitMilitary Job Fair (Thursday, Nov. 7)

Location: FedExField (1600 FedEx Way, Landover, Md. 20785)

Event Time: 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.

The Redskins will host a chalk talk with Gary Clark and Larry Michael before the RecruitMilitary Job Fair. Clark will discuss his experience in the NFL and his transition from football to his current life. In addition, two fellows from the FedEx Football Fellowship program will be present to talk about their experiences working in the front office of the organization. Together with FedEx and the USO, the Redskins launched the inaugural military football fellowship program last fall, which creates on-the-job professional experiences for recently transitioned service members.

Lowe's USO Service Member Do-It-Yourself Drywall Patching Workshop (Saturday, Nov. 9)

Location: FedExField (1600 FedEx Way, Landover, Md. 20785)

Event Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Lowe's in collaboration with the USO-Metro and Washington Redskins will host an interactive workshop designed to help service members and their spouses land apprenticeships and jobs in the skills trade. The workshop will feature 50 service members and military spouses for a Do-It-Yourself Drywall Patching Course taught by Lowe's Heroes, the company's volunteer program participants, who have previously served in our Armed Forces.

Redskins Salute Podcast Party and BBQ at USO (Tuesday, Nov. 12)

Location: USO Warrior and Family Center at Fort Belvoir (5940 9th St., Fort Belvoir, Va. 22060)

Event Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

The Redskins will host a podcast party at Fort Belvoir where they will tape a variety of Redskins.com podcasts. As the taping occurs, military members will be invited to watch, interact with personalities and enjoy a catered lunch from Mission BBQ.

BEDGEAR & Redskins Donation to Operation Homefront (Tuesday, Nov. 26)

Location: Operation Homefront Transitional Housing Village (541 Raven Ave. #2404, Gaithersburg, Md.)

Event Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

BEDGEAR is teaming up with the Washington Redskins to donate performance mattresses and pillows to Operation Homefront's rent-free Transitional Housing Village. Two (2) current Redskins players will join BEDGEAR in bringing beds and meeting/greeting military families living in the Village. The Village program provides wounded, ill & injured service members and their families with rent-free housing, allowing them to help bridge the gap between the end of military pay and the beginning of veteran benefits. Families work with a financial counselor to build up their savings, reduce debt and develop a customized reintegration plan as they prepare to transition into civilian communities.

Military Family Tour of Redskins Park Presented by Tuesday's Children (Sunday, Dec. 1)

Location: Redskins Park (21300 Redskin Park Drive, Ashburn, Va. 20147)

Event Time: 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Redskins Salute will be hosting four (4) Gold Star Families with two Super Bowl Champion Alumni accompanying the group to see and view all of the behind-the-scenes rooms, training facilities, and offices of the Washington Redskins players and executives. Lunch will be provided in the Redskins players' auditorium. The tour will conclude with a mini-watch party of the Redskins vs. Panthers game in the auditorium.
