Redskins Set NFL Attendance Record In '07

The Washington Redskins announced March 31 that the team established a new NFL home attendance record for the 2007 season.

The count at FedExField totaled 711,471 fans last year, marking the eighth consecutive year that the team has led the NFL in regular season home paid attendance.

Washington fans also set their own team record against the rival Dallas Cowboys. On December 30, 2007, a total of 90,910 fans attended the game--setting a new FedExField attendance record.

The eight-game attendance average at FedExField was 88,934.

The Redskins also set a new NFL attendance record by playing in front of 1,264,890 fans in their 16 games.
