The Redskins have signed tight end Tony Curtis to the roster.
Curtis is a 4-year veteran who has had stints with the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers.
He entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie with Dallas in 2005. In three seasons with the Cowboys, he started six of 36 games and caught 11 passes for 50 yards and three touchdowns.
Last year, Curtis was with the 49ers in preseason but did not make the final roster.
With Chris Cooley still slowed by a knee injury, Curtis adds depth at the Redskins' tight ends position. Fred Davis, Logan Paulsen and Mike Sellers are also listed as tight ends on the roster.
Curtis is a native of Seaside, Calif. He played college football at Portland State.
