The Washington Redskins announced Aug. 10 they have signed defensive tackle Chris Mineo.

Mineo, 6-2 and 285 pounds, originally signed with the Redskins following the 2006 NFL Draft as a free agent. He played college ball at UTEP, where amassed 187 tackles (71 solo), 16.5 sacks and one interception returned for a touchdown.

He will wear jersey number 71R.

The team also announced they have waived defensive tackle Manaia Brown.
