Redskins Sign Holloway, J. Warner

The Redskins continued to add to their offseason roster on Thursday, signing tight end Jabari Holloway and offensive lineman Josh Warner.

Holloway, 6-2 and 260 pounds, spent the 2004 training camp with the Houston Texans, but was released following preseason. In 2002-03 with the Texans, he started 17 of 26 games and caught 15 passes for 157 yards.

Holloway entered the NFL in 2001 as a fourth-round draft pick (119th overall) of the New England Patriots. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

Holloway attended Notre Dame and started 37 of 44 games for the Fighting Irish. He caught 41 passes for 692 yards and seven touchdowns in his collegiate career. He is a native of Atlanta.

Warner, 6-5 and 318 pounds, was most recently with the Chicago Bears. He was released last September following preseason after spending the 2002-03 seasons as a reserve offensive lineman with the Bears. In 2003, he played 10 games as a reserve guard, eligible tackle on goal-line situations and on special teams units.

Warner attended SUNY-Brockport as a center. He started his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and did not allow a sack any of those seasons while paving the way for an offensive line that averaged 177 rushing yards per game. He is a native of Cato, N.Y.
