The Redskins have added another quarterback to the roster in Stephen Morris, a former third-team All-ACC selection. He is the 12th player signed to a Reserve/Future contract so far.

The Washington Redskins announced on Tuesday the signing of quarterback Stephen Morris to a Reserve/Future contract.

Morris, 25, originally entered the NFL as a college free agent signing for the Jacksonville Jaguars out of the University of Miami. He has also spent time on the offseason roster of the Indianapolis Colts and was briefly on the practice squad of the Philadelphia Eagles.

During the 2017 preseason with the Colts, the 6-foot-2, 219 pounder appeared in four games and completed 38-of-56 attempts for 399 yards with one touchdown.

In four preseason games with Indianapolis in 2016, Morris completed 39-of-61 passes for four touchdowns with one interception. He also tallied a rushing score.

In three seasons at Miami, Morris appeared in 36 games with 30 starts, as he passed for nearly 8,000 yards with 49 touchdowns to 30 interceptions.

During his senior season in 2013, Morris was named a third-team All-ACC selection as he threw for 3,028 yards with 21 touchdowns to 13 interceptions. His 3,415 yards of total offense set a Hurricanes single-season record which was previously set by Bernie Kosar.
