The Redskins have announced plans to break ground for an indoor practice facility at Redskins Park.

The air structure will be built over a full size football field and is expected to be completed later this fall.

"Our new state-of-the-art facility will help our team prepare for games and will allow the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation to hold special events," said executive vice president/general manager Bruce Allen.

"Although we embrace playing all of our games outdoors, our new facility will ensure that our game preparation will not be disrupted due to inclement weather."
