With Sunday's game against the Cowboys in the books, the Redskins now turn their focus onto another NFC East rival, the New York Giants, who won their Week 2 game against the Saints. For the first time this season, the Washington Redskins will hit the road next Sunday in a 1 p.m. kickoff against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

The Giants enter Week 3 with a 2-0 record following their 16-13 victory the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

New York won their Week 1 matchup with the Cowboys earlier this month, stealing a 20-19 road victory at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Quarterbacking the Giants once again is veteran Eli Manning, who has started the last 185 games for New York dating back to his rookie season in 2004.

So far this season, Manning has tossed three touchdowns and for nearly 600 yards.

New York has a one-two punch at running back with Rashad Jennings and Shane Vereen, although neither had much success against the Redskins last year as they combined for just 84 rushing yards and no touchdowns in their two matchups with Washington.

Of course, the big matchup of the week will be how the Redskins deploy Josh Norman and Bashaud Breeland  against the likes of Odell Beckham Jr., Victor Cruz and Sterling Shephard.

Last year, when Norman was still a member of the Panthers, he can Beckham Jr, engaged in a heated battle that isn't seen very much in the NFL anymore. Each was flagged at least once for a personal foul while Beckham Jr. would ultimately be handed a one-game suspension for the following week.

A look back at some of the top images in games between the Washington Redskins and New York Giants.

What's more important than history between Norman and Beckham Jr. will be stopping the talented wide receiver from finding the end zone.

In three career games against the Redskins, the LSU product has hauled in five touchdown receptions including a remarkable diving one-handed grab last season.

Defensively, the Giants are led by Jonathan Casillas, as the linebacker recorded 11 tackles in the season opener. New York also has former Redskins linebacker Keenan Robinson in fold, although he managed just three tackles against the Cowboys.

The Giants were big spenders on the defensive side of the football during the offseason, also bringing in Olivier Vernon, Janoris Jenkins and Damon Harrison through free agency while also using their first-round pick on Ohio State cornerback Eli Apple.

This game will mark the 169th time the Redskins and Giants have faced off dating back to their first matchup on Oct. 9, 1932.

If the Redskins win the NFC battle, it will be Washington's first multiple-game winning streak against the Giants since the 2011 season.
