Could Pot Roast be making a return to Washington, D.C.?

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that Terrance Knighton will visit with the Redskins on Wednesday. The nose tackle visited with the New England Patriots today.

Knighton appeared in 15 games last season with the Redskins, totaling 30 tackles with six quarterback hits, five tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

The nose tackle's biggest contributions came in the run game, though, as the 354 pounder clogged interior running lanes for opposing quarterbacks.

His presence was best highlighted during the Redskins' 35-25 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Dec. 20, as Knighton was in on a goal line stand that helped maintain Washington's 21-0 leading going into halftime.

"They challenged me three plays in a row and, you know, they'll learn," Knighton said after the game.

Knighton has played for three different teams during his NFL career, the Redskins, Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Knighton spent his first four seasons with the Jaguars, the team that selected him in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft, while being a member of the Broncos in 2013 and 2014.

"I feel like I can contribute to a team," Knighton said during exit interviews following the Redskins' Wild Card Round loss to the Green Bay Packers. "A lot of people look at the numbers, but I've been a 32-tackle, two- or three-sack guy my whole career, so hopefully someone else still needs a run stuffer."

The Redskins currently have several different players on their roster capable of playing nose tackle including Kedric Golston, Chris Baker, Stephen Paea and Jerrell Powe.
