You can take the dog out of the fight, but you can't take the fight out of the dog.

The Washington Redskins currently sit 3-9 and tied for third in the NFC East. As they play the underdog role with four games remaining, Keenan Robinson said that the team will be laying it all out on the line until the final whistle blows.

"Just continue to fight," the linebacker said of the Redskins' goals the rest of the season. "I'm going to give my all every day when I'm out there and my teammates will do the same. Use [these last four games] as building blocks."

Over the next four weeks, the Redskins will have three games against divisional opponents. After Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams, they'll finish their season with an away game against the New York Giants before two home games against the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys.

While the Redskins certainly aren't looking past the Rams, Robinson said that finishing well in the division is still an achievable goal the team wants to pursue this year.

"As far as finishing one or two in our division, we can [do it]," he said. "We still got three division games left, so we can finish 4-2. That goal is still there."

With a strong finish, the Redskins could more than double their win total from a year ago by finishing the season with as many as seven wins. Cornerback David Amerson believes that ending the season strong would go a long way when it comes to team morale.

"I think the biggest thing is play for pride and respect," Amerson said. "Rather than finish the season 3-13 and finish it 7-9, it would feel a lot better as far as everybody in this locker room and coaches and everything."

To finish the season, the Redskins will play three out of four games in the comfort of FedExField, including Sunday's game against the Rams. After hitting the road to take on the New York Giants on Dec. 14, they'll return to Landover, Md., for a Week 16 Saturday matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.

On the final Sunday of the calendar year, the Redskins' regular season will culminate in what will be a much-anticipated rematch with the Dallas Cowboys.

With so much left to play for, Robinson says the Redskins won't give up.

"It's a long shot, but we can end up being in the top of our division just off division record alone," Robinson said. "For us, just finishing well, finishing hard and finishing in a professional way, meaning do not give up on our goals."

With three of their last four contests to be played in front of the hometown crowd, outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan provided a call to action on this week, saying that they need the support of the fans now more than ever.

"We don't need anybody jumping ship because we're not jumping ship," Kerrigan said. "We still got four games left and this is our job and we have a lot of pride in here and we're going to try to get some wins."
