Ryan Kerrigan Gifts 111 Pairs Of Cleats To His Old High School

Ryan Kerrigan has been known for giving back to the community.

The Redskins linebacker's recent charitable activities include a visit to the HSC Pediatric Center in Northeast Washington D.C., to give the center a "Kerrigan's Korner" electric hub last month, as well as hosting the 11th Annual Leukemia Golf Classic at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Va.

Prior to those acts of humility, Kerrigan -- who is the Redskins' Walter Payton Man of the Year -- also pledged $250,000 to his alma mater, Purdue University, to help support their football complex.

This time around, Kerrigan gave back to his hometown, Muncie, Ind., as he donated 111 pairs of Nike cleats to the football program at Muncie Central High School.

On Wednesday, the head coach announced the shipment had come in and he would disperse the cleats to the players after a morning workout the next day via Twitter. He also thanked Kerrigan with a picture of the cleats all set up in his office.
