Continuing his efforts to support education charities, Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan spent part of his weekend at a special lunch event for the Elaine Shuster Foundation.

Held at Mama Lucia's in Bethesda, Md., Kerrigan helped host the event, which honored Elaine Shuster, a former beloved schoolteacher who passed away. Her foundation is dedicated to rewarding and supporting education charities near to the Shuster family in Elaine's name and legacy.

As you can tell from some of the pictures, Kerrigan enjoyed spending time with the kids in attendance, eating pizza and getting to meet some of his young fans.

Kerrigan, in December, along with former Redskins defensive back Shawn Springs, helped host the Shuster family's "Heart of Gold" Event, another fundraiser for the foundation.

"You get together on nights like this, doing something for the greater good," Kerigan said at the time. "It makes you feel good."
