The following is a statement by Redskins Owner Daniel M. Snyder on the New England Patriots' taping incident:

"It's time to move forward with the 2008 season. The Patriots paid the unprecedented heavy penalty of a first-round draft pick and record-setting fines.

"Additional tapes have been reviewed and they all show basically the same thing; so the Redskins are satisfied that the story of the unfortunate incident has been told.

"Commissioner Goodell has kept me and my fellow owners informed throughout the process. I am satisfied with his conclusions and the outcome announced yesterday."
