This past weekend, WOW held its first-ever overnight event for members. The 2020 WOW-Glo-up Weekend featured fitness and wellness events at the Gaylord National Resort. These opportunities included a unique, interactive workout, relaxing & rejuvenating appointments in the Relache spa, and a Wellness morning covering nutrition and vision boarding. The combination of the four events allowed for WOW members to have a fun weekend of well-being and around like-minded positive women.

Saturday kicked off a Quiet Glow workout. It was a fast-moving workout, but the room was soundless. Each fitness-goer wore a pair of headphones that glowed in the dark along with glow bracelets and necklaces. Everyone's headphones were synced to the voice of Fitness Pro, Deanna Robinson and DJ PKnock. The music played was motivating and fun allowing for a silent workout space, but collectively working out together. During the course of the hour, the participants performed bodyweight movements at the pace of the DJ's music. Everyone finished smiling and sweaty! Next, the ladies scheduled time for a well-earned spa treatment at Relache Spa. Women could receive mini massages, facials or paraffin wax as well as make their own essential oil scrub.

Saturday evening was a VIP event for WOW members staying at the Gaylord National Resort.  Held at the rooftop bar Pose, in the hotel, WOW members had a meet-and-greet with Redskins current running back, Bryce Love, and former Redskins alum Shawn Springs. Dancing and socializing wrapped up the first day's events.

The final Glo-Up seminar was held Sunday morning. WOW members were brought back into Relache spa for an immersive conversation on goals, mental health, healthy eating, sleeping, and how the combination of those three are so imperative to every-day life. Speakers were Jaclyn Smith on nutrition, BEDGEAR sleep coach Angela Castro and GeNienne Samuels on setting goals and intent for the year. WOW member Sheimeeka Greene won a weighted blanket from BEDGEAR's Raffle.

Mighty Meals hit the mark with healthy Greek yogurt, fruit and granola for breakfast. Members created vision boards for 2020 goals and encouraged one-another to capture visions they wanted to manifest. WOW members shared personal stories concerning their own mental health, eating, and sleeping habits, which left everyone feeling motivated, inspired, rejuvenated and ready to take on 2020!
