Venerable RFK Stadium has had quite a few professional teams take up space inside of it ever since its opening back on Oct. 1, 1961, with the most prominent teams being the Washington Redskins, Washington Senators, Washington Nationals and D.C. United.

The Redskins were the first team to make its mark inside RFK Stadium, as they played there for 36 years and compiled a 173-102-3 record, including an incredible 11-1 record in the playoffs.

The team would eventually move on and into FedExField in Landover, Md., but the memories they built at RFK Stadium will never be forgotten.

With the baseball season currently underway, Talk of Fame Network's Rick Gosselin figured it would be a good time to get a poll started and ask, "What Was The Best Baseball Park For Football?"

Gosselin included eight stadiums, one of which being RFK Stadium, to which Gosselin had this to say in its defense.

"A cozy place with a seating capacity of only 56,000, RFK gave the Redskins one of the best homefield advantages in the NFL," Gosselin said. "The Redskins have won three NFL titles in the last 72 years – all at RFK."

The poll is still ongoing, so if you'd like to place your vote for RFK Stadium as the best baseball/football park, vote here.
