If you didn't already know, today is head coach Jay Gruden's birthday.

He received a lot of well wishes but none were more retro-stylish than one of his former team's messages.

The Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League gave Gruden a shout-out with a photo from their ArenaBowl victory in 1991, when the former quarterback led his team to a championship win, curiously wearing zubaz and all (they were an early 1990s trend).

To refresh, Gruden was part of the 1999 class inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame. As a quarterback, he won four championships for the Storm (1991, '93, '95-96), won league MVP in 1992 and ArenaBowl MVP in 1993. He's also one of five *coaches *to win at least two ArenaBowls, doing so with the Orlando Predators.

Gruden won ArenaBowl V as a rookie, tossing a 35-yard touchdown pass to Stevie Thomas with 39 second left. He threw for three touchdowns in ArenaBowl VII and in ArenaBowl IX he ran for a score and threw four more.

Now, if only we could track down some burgundy and gold zubaz for a birthday gift.
