The NFL regular season is over, which means the awards season is nearly upon us, and not just in the movie industry.

End of the year football awards are a time to reflect on the best from the season, and Talk Of America kicked off a fan poll to gauge where six head coaches, trying to guide their teams to a Super Bowl, stand in the "Coach of the Year" category.

Naturally, head coach Jay Gruden makes the list, turning around a team that went 4-12 in 2014 and adding five more wins this season.

As Talk Of America editorializes, the Redskins were picked by many to finish last in the division "when Gruden made the gutsy call of installing Kirk Cousins as his starting quarterback over highly-touted and highly-paid Robert Griffin III."

Gruden ordered a "Code Red" after the team's loss to the Jets, which pushed Washington to 2-4, but the Redskins got hot down the stretch and rode Cousins all the way to the playoffs. The quarterback finished fifth in the NFL in passing with a 101.6 efficiency rating and threw for a single-season franchise record 4,166 yards with 29 touchdowns.

Other candidates include Ron Rivera, who led the Panthers to 15 wins, along with Bruce Arians, Bill O'Brien, Andy Reid and Mike Zimmer.
