No, they aren't the Golden State Warriors' "Splash Brothers." And in the spirit of Dr. Seuss, they aren't the "Bash Brothers" from the Mighty Ducks saga either – but both arguably hit just as hard on special teams.

This friendship is not confined within the numbers.

On the second day of Phase 1 voluntary workouts, linebacker Adam Hayward volunteered linebacker Will Compton for some events he's attending himself (sorry for outing you, Adam), and I'm sure Compton has been doing the same.

"Yeah, and Will's doing this because I am," said Hayward, smirking as he placed a checkmark next to his buddy's name.

Just because the season ends does not mean their relationship does.

It's all in good fun. They support each other.  You could even see it last season.

After Hayward's 2014 season-ending injury in Week 12, Compton showed his respect by wearing Hayward's No. 55 practice jersey that week. It was symbolic for Hayward's leadership and the on-field presence he was leaving behind.

So what do you call this kind of friendship?

Compton simply says, "the BFFs reunited." But come the regular-season, this duo may make the splash fans have been waiting for.
