The Washington Redskins on Tuesday announced the appointment of Patrick Wixted as the team's Director of Public Relations. Concurrently, William Norman was promoted to the position of Assistant Director of Public Relations.
Wixted, a native of Fairfax, Va., is currently in his fourth season with the Redskins after joining the franchise in 2001 from the University of Cincinnati sports information office. He is a graduate of East Carolina University. He replaces Michelle Tessier, who resigned last week.
Norman, also in his fourth year with the Redskins, joined the team in 2001 after a two-year term as a production assistant at ESPN Radio in Bristol, Conn. He is a native of McLean, Va., and is a graduate of Hampton University.
