On November 10th, WIN & BEN hosted an open discussion with Nicole Lynn, the first black female sports agent to join top NFL Agency, PlayersRep and an agent to back-to-back top 10 NFL Draft picks. Over 150 employees of the Washington Football Team joined the Zoom as Nicole talked about how we can be allies and sponsors for minorities and underrepresented groups in our organization. Nicole also highlighted several ways to raise each other up and grow together; whether it's as a mentor, ally, sponsor, or colleague.
Nicole Lynn was the first black woman to represent a top 3 NFL draft pick. Nicole has now represented back-to-back top 10 picks in the NFL. She also became the first female agent hired at top NFL agency, PlayersRep, and signed her first player within three months after passing the NFL agent exam. Nicole's legal training makes her a fierce advocate for her clients, and she is breath of fresh air in a male-dominated industry.
- In 2017, Young Money APAA Sports Agency acquired PlayersRep, which made Nicole the first—and only—female on Lil Wayne's entirely male sports agent team.
- Nicole represents NFL players, softball players, and music artists but this year Nicole received her certification for the NBA
- Nicole still practices law and represents some of the biggest companies in the country in high level complex civil litigation cases.
- There are currently over 800 agents certified to represent NFL players in contract talks with teams—only 34 of those are women (~4%).
