Julie Andreeff Jensen joined the Washington Football Team in October of 2020 to serve as the team's Senior Vice President of External Engagement and Communications.
Jensen is a communications and corporate affairs leader specializing in building teams and strategies to help companies, organizations, and leaders affect change.
Throughout her career, Jensen has advised some of the most well respected global brands and successful leaders in business, politics, and non-profit organizations on communicating their story, ushering through change, and building culture.
Jensen most recently served as Chief Corporate Affairs and Communications Officer at Citadel, a global leader in financial services, where she built the corporate affairs function, including reputation and brand strategy, internal and external communications, executive communications, marketing, and philanthropy.
Prior to joining Citadel, Jensen was a partner at the Brunswick Group, a global advisory firm, where she helped build and lead Brunswick's Washington, D.C. office. During her eight years at Brunswick, Jensen advised C-suite executives of Fortune 500 companies on critical business issues including reputation management, change leadership, crisis communications, and public affairs. She was also part of the firm's executive leadership, serving as the global head of marketing for the firm.
Jensen started her career in politics working on Capitol Hill as an aide to the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy and served in various senior roles for pivotal presidential campaigns including President Barack Obama's 2008 victory.
Jensen is a member of the Board of Trustees for the John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and a member of the Arthur Page Society. She graduated from the Washington College of Law at American University where she also completed her undergraduate degree and was captain of the women's swim team, later becoming an assistant coach at AU.
She grew up in Buffalo, New York and has always been a football fan.
