Originally selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round (1st overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft. Traded to Washington on March 14, 2018.

Appeared in 166 regular season games (161 starts) and seven postseason games (all starts)... Completed 3,082-of-4,941 passes for 34,068 yards with 193 touchdowns and 101 interceptions for a passer rating of 87.3 in 15 NFL seasons with San Francisco (2005-12), Kansas City (2013-17) and Washington (2018)... In 2013, joined a Chiefs squad that went 2-14 a year earlier and then led the franchise to 11, 9, 11, 12 and 10 wins, respectively, and led the team to four postseason berths in his five seasons in Kansas City... One of only three NFL quarterbacks to win 50+ games as a starter across the 2013-17 seasons (Tom Brady and Russell Wilson)... Joined Washington in 2018 having recorded at least 320 pass attempts and single-digit interceptions in six straight seasons from 2013-18, the longest streak in NFL history. As of the end of the 2018 season, no other NFL quarterback had ever posted more than four such consecutive seasons.
