Brandon Lloyd, the former Redskins wide receiver and NFL journeyman, announced his retirement today at the age of 34.
But he didn't exit silently.
In a letter written in his press release, he took time to share his feelings about his departure from the league, what he will do to continue serving it and then shared his thanks to a variety of former and current NFL coaches and players.
One of them was former tight end Chris Cooley, who played with Lloyd between 2006-2007 after Lloyd was traded to the Redskins from the 49ers.
"Playing alongside Kyle Orton, Chris Cooley, Champ Bailey, Chris Long, Steven Jacksonand Tom Brady made me a better player and made me a better person," he wrote.
Lloyd caught 25 passes in his two years in Washington before making stops in Chicago, Denver, St. Louis, New England and back to San Francisco.
Above, please enjoy when Lloyd was eager to show off his H2 Hummer (back when that was the trend).
He also brags about his six-disc changer so he never has to fiddle with his music. Remember CD's?
