As the Redskins take their final break before training camp, The Redskins Blog looks back at players' personal stories and memories from their career, both on and off the field.

Every player in the NFL has a favorite moment, or moments, from his rookie season.

For Redskins wide receiver Jamison Crowder, his moment took a while to come last season, but he can remember it like it was yesterday.

"My favorite moment, I would have to say, was definitely my first touchdown against the [New Orleans] Saints," Crowder said. "It kind of came later on in the year. I for sure wanted to score before that, but it finally came, and I was just so happy just to be able to say, 'I scored an NFL touchdown in a regular season game,' so that right there would've had to be my favorite moment."

The 11-yard touchdown pass to Crowder from quarterback Trent Williams came with 0:58 left in the first quarter, breaking a 7-7 tie. That Crowder-Cousins connection sparked an offensive explosion for the Redskins, as they'd end up with a very convincing 47-14 win over the Saints in Week 10.

"I felt great," Crowder said. "Just that whole moment, [and] the whole atmosphere of the game was exciting. We had drove down the field, and I think [tight end] Jordan Reed scored prior to that [16-yard touchdown pass from Cousins], so [we] were kind of on the move, and I ended up getting my first touchdown."

The crowd's reaction at FedExField is still vivid in his mind, too.

"Seeing the fans go crazy and just having that feeling of, 'Wow, I just scored my first NFL touchdown!' it's crazy," Crowder said. "Obviously we went on and had a good game as a team against the Saints that day. It was just a great feeling, a great atmosphere, and I was definitely excited about that."
