It took a whole lot longer than expected thanks to heavy rains, but Joe Gibbs Racing's Matt Kenseth took the checkered flag at yesterday's race at Bristol.

Kenseth – who is in his second-year with Gibbs – snapped a 51-race winless drought by holding off a late and furious charge by Jimmie Johnson.

Before Johnson's failed attempt to beat out Kenseth, it looked as if Gibbs teammate Carl Edwards was going to battle for victory, possibly giving the team a one-two finish in the process, but he spun out.

For Joe Gibbs Racing, this marks the second victory of the season, as Denny Hamlin, a well-known Redskins fan, won at Martinsville last month.
