Perhaps it was the thrill of seeing Nationals ace Max Scherzer on the mound that drew Redskins greats Billy Kilmer and Sonny Jurgensen to Nationals Park on Wednesday night.
Maybe Kilmer and Jurgensen wanted to see Redskins right tackle Morgan Moses and cornerback Jonathan Allen do their best impressions of Scherzer, as they both threw out first pitches.
Either way, it was a thrill for fans to have two football legends in their presence on a beautiful Wednesday evening at the ballpark, as the Nationals were looking for the sweep of the three-game series with the New York Mets.
