Redskins Players React To Thrilling College Football Championship

The Clemson Tigers beat the Alabama Crimson Tide in thrilling fashion during Monday night's College Football Playoff National Championship in Tampa, Fla.

But, at least for those who followed the game on Twitter, quarterback Kirk Cousins was the real winner. He posted a side by side photo of himself in 11th grade – lanky body, acne-covered face – beside a photo of Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough in 10th grade – a bulked up beast – and joked that was the reason the Crimson Tide never gave him a recruiting call.

He earned more than 100,000 retweets, a banner night for a quarterback that normally posts sponsored content. It's nice to see Cousins show his humorous side.

That was an internet highlight (including the head referee's biceps and Bill Walton) to complement an otherwise crazy game that players couldn't help from commenting about. With just more than two minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts galloped 30 yards up the middle to give the Tide a three-point lead in what had been a back and forth final quarter.

Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson, not to be outdone, used his arm to drive the Tigers down the length of the field. With six seconds left on the 2-yard line, Watson hit Hunter Renfrow in the end zone to seal the 35-31 victory and upset Alabama.
