#RedskinsBracket 2015: Update No. 2

Check out how the Redskins players are faring in their brackets after an exciting -- and surprising -- first day of NCAA men's basketball tournament games:

1: Guard Chris Chester — 260 points

chris-chester-bracket-2.jpg

WINS: 5 West Virginia over 12 Buffalo; 4 Maryland over 13 Valpo; 7 Wichita State over 10 Indiana; 2 Kansas over 15 New Mexico State; 1 Wisconsin over 16 Coastal Carolina; 8 Oregon over 9 Oklahoma State; 5 Northern Iowa over 12 Wyoming; 4 Louisville over 13 UC Irvine; 3 Oklahoma over 14 Albany; 2 Virginia over 15 Belmont; 1 Duke over 16 Robert Morris; 8 San Diego State over 9 St. John's; 7 Iowa over 10 Davidson; 2 Gonzaga over 15 North Dakota State

LOSSES: 11 Dayton over 6 Providence; 7 Michigan State over 10 Georgia

ANALYSIS: Chester has a solid bracket as the tournament enters the Round of 32. His safe picks have carried him, especially in the 7-10 and 8-9 games. The only upset he predicted didn't come to fruition, however, as seventh-seeded Michigan State overcame No. 10 seed Georgia. Chester looks to carry his strong bracket forward, as there's only one matchup in the next round — No. 6 Xavier vs. No. 14 Georgia State — in which he didn't pick at least one team.

2 (t): Outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan — 250 points

WINS: 5 West Virginia over 12 Bufalo; 4 Maryland over 13 Valpo; 2 Kansas over 15 New Mexico State; 1 Wisconsin over 16 Coastal Carolina; 8 Oregon over 9 Oklahoma State; 5 Northern Iowa over 12 Wyoming; 4 Louisville over 13 UC Irvine; 11 Dayton over 6 Providence; 3 Oklahoma over 14 Albany; 7 Michigan State over 10 Georgia; 2 Virginia over 15 Belmont; 1 Duke over 16 Robert Morris; 8 San Diego State over 9 St. John's; 7 Iowa over 10 Davidson; 2 Gonzaga over 15 North Dakota State

LOSSES: 7 Wichita State over 10 Indiana

ANALYSIS: What a comeback for The Heartbreak Kid on the second day of the Round of 64, with just one loss — he incorrectly picked No. 10 Indiana to beat No. 7 Wichita State — on the day. Kerrigan's allegiance to the Big Ten paid off in other ways, however, as his picks of Wisconsin, Michigan State and Iowa all advanced on Friday. Kerrigan's in good shape heading into the Round of 32.

2 (t): Defensive lineman Stephen Paea — 250 points

WINS: 5 West Virginia over 12 Buffalo; 4 Maryland over 13 Valpo; 7 Wichita State over 10 Indiana; 2 Kansas over 15 New Mexico State; 1 Wisconsin over 16 Coastal Carolina; 8 Oregon over 9 Oklahoma State; 5 Northern Iowa over 12 Wyoming; 4 Louisville over 13 UC Irvine; 3 Oklahoma over 14 Albany; 7 Michigan State over 10 Georgia; 2 Virginia over 15 Belmont; 1 Duke over 16 Robert Morris; 8 San Diego State over 9 St. John's; 2 Gonzaga over 15 North Dakota State

LOSSES: 11 Dayton over 6 Providence; 7 Iowa over 10 Davidson

ANALYSIS: Paea remains solid after a quality first couple days of picks, with just two losses on the day Friday. He was safe in almost all of his picks — going with the higher seed — except in the No. 7 Iowa vs. No. 10 Davidson, in which Paea went with the underdog. Iowa showed that wasn't really a good idea, however, winning by 31 points.

3 (t): Safety Akeem Davis — 230 points

WINS: 5 West Virginia over 12 Buffalo; 4 Maryland over 13 Valpo; 7 Wichita State over 10 Indiana; 2 Kansas over 15 New Mexico State; 1 Wisconsin over 16 Coastal Carolina; 8 Oregon over 9 Oklahoma State; 4 Louisville over 13 UC Irvine; 11 Dayton over 6 Providence; 3 Oklahoma over 14 Albany; 7 Michigan State over 10 Georgia; 2 Virginia over 15 Belmont; 1 Duke over 16 Robert Morris; 7 Iowa over 10 Davidson; 2 Gonzaga over 15 North Dakota State

LOSSES: 5 Northern Iowa over 12 Wyoming; 8 San Diego State over 9 St. John's

ANALYSIS: After a rough first day of picks, Davis came back strong on Friday, losing just two matchups. His most impressive pick was going with 11th-seeded Dayton over 6-seed Providence. One upset bid — No. 12 Wyoming didn't beat No. 5 Iowa State (it wasn't close; 71-54) — but, for the most part, Davis has done a solid job getting back in the running for the rest of the tournament.

3 (t): Outside linebacker Jackson Jeffcoat — 230 points

Jackson-Jeffcoat-Bracket-2.jpg

WINS: 5 West Virginia over 12 Buffalo; 4 Maryland over 13 Valpo; 7 Wichita State over 10 Indiana; 2 Kansas over 15 New Mexico State; 1 Wisconsin over 16 Coastal Carolina; 5 Northern Iowa over 12 Wyoming; 4 Louisville over 13 UC Irvine; 3 Oklahoma over 14 Albany; 7 Michigan State over 10 Georgia; 2 Virginia over 15 Belmont; 1 Duke over 16 Robert Morris; 7 Iowa over 10 Davidson; 2 Gonzaga over 15 North Dakota State

LOSSES: 8 Oregon over 9 Oklahoma State; 11 Dayton over 6 Providence; 8 San Diego State over 9 St. John's

ANALYSIS: Jeffcoat on Friday stayed about on par with his first day of picks, and, like many others, got tripped up in a couple 8-9 matchups. He incorrectly picked No. 9 seeds Oklahoma State and St. John's would topple No. 8 seeds Oregon and San Diego State, but the favorites came out on top. Jeffcoat, however, has a pretty solid Round of 32, which begins today.

3 (t): Redskins.com Managing Editor Andrew Walker — 230 points

andrew-walker-bracket-2.jpg

WINS: 4 Maryland over 13 Valpo; 7 Wichita State over 10 Indiana; 2 Kansas over 15 New Mexico State; 1 Wisconsin over 16 Coastal Carolina; 8 Oregon over 9 Oklahoma State; 5 Northern Iowa over 12 Wyoming; 4 Louisville over 13 UC Irvine; 3 Oklahoma over 14 Albany; 7 Michigan State over 10 Georgia; 2 Virginia over 15 Belmont; 1 Duke over 16 Robert Morris; 7 Iowa over 10 Davidson; 2 Gonzaga over 15 North Dakota State

LOSSES: 5 West Virginia over 12 Buffalo; 11 Dayton over 6 Providence; 8 San Diego State over 9 St. John's

ANALYSIS:Not a great overall day for Walker. While Kerrigan remained loyal to the Big Ten and it mostly paid off, Walker's allegiance to the Mid-American Conference and its champion, Buffalo, fell flat on Friday, as the 12th-seeded Bulls fell in a heartbreaker to No. 5 West Virginia, 68-62. Walker hopes to rebound with quality picks on Saturday.
